Meet the Founder

Korab Idrizi is the owner and founder of Flow State Psychology & Performance. He is a psychologist-in-training whose life and work are defined by a commitment to human potential. A former Division I football player at Boston College, he experienced firsthand the discipline, resilience, and mental demands that high performance requires. Those experiences inspired his pursuit of psychology, where he earned his Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University and is completing his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Tennessee State University.

Korab’s work bridges his love for psychology and his passion for high performance. He helps clients not only overcome challenges, but also unlock deeper self-understanding and align their strengths with the lives they want to create. His unique perspective combines the rigor of clinical training with the mindset of an athlete, making him deeply attuned to the balance between resilience, growth, and fulfillment.

He continues to challenge himself in his own life, most recently completing the Mamba 100 ultramarathon in 2024. His mission is to help high performers achieve both external success and inner well-being—the same balance he is pursuing himself. This is not abstract theory but his life’s work, lived out in real time. He rejects the idea that achievement and psychological health must come at the cost of one another, and he is committed to guiding clients in creating a life where they can truly have it all.

Flow State Psychology & Performance Mission

The Flow State exists to serve high performers with the level of care and excellence they deserve. Too often, the fields of counseling and performance coaching are saturated with providers who do not fully understand individuals driven by a calling to achieve at the highest level. The broader culture compounds this problem by glorifying mediocrity and subtly pressuring people to settle for “good enough.” Our mission is to counter that pull, offering a practice that honors ambition, discipline, and the pursuit of greatness.

The name Flow State reflects both a scientific concept and an aspirational metaphor. Research shows that the most meaningful moments in life occur when people are at the edge of their abilities, challenged just enough to create peak engagement and growth. This state is not only productive but also deeply enjoyable. It represents the balance of performance and fulfillment that our work with clients is built to create.

How this happens matters. At The Flow State, we deliver more than therapy or coaching. We provide a premium experience for premium clients, from the design of our website to the ease of scheduling, from the physical space to the depth of assessment reports, from the care of follow-up to the treatment itself. Every detail is intentional. Every interaction is meant to reflect the standard we hold for ourselves and the standard our clients already live by.

M.S.Ed., Mental Health Counseling, Fordham University

What approach or orientation do you use in therapy?

My therapy approach is grounded in a psychodynamic perspective, which means I pay attention to the patterns, beliefs, and emotions that influence how you experience life today. The focus is on how these dynamics show up in the present and how they can be shifted to create healthier ways of living. I take an integrative approach, tailoring methods to each client’s needs, while respecting their autonomy and drawing on their resilience to bring about meaningful change.
